An Open Educational Resource (OER) Textbook
California was the first course I took in college, where I was so interested that it made me think perhaps one day I could make a living out of it. My passion for California only expanded as a graduate student through my work in museums. Then, when I taught my first class as a professor, it was on California History. Since then, I have tried to teach this course as often as possible because of how much fun it is to discover more about my home state. This will be a continually evolving project — I hope you enjoy it.
