United States history tells a story of many people of many places, where history is often reduced to consumable and straightforward ideas. This project is not that — it is a history “book” that will evolve as new views, ideas, and research bring new perspectives on topics within the great web of American history. Yes, we are still a young country, but we are also a country with a rich and well-documented history, where we can discover ideas and meaning from our past because it has been documented from the start.
